Essential employment information for Toku employees working in Finland, including payroll cycles, working hours (40/37.5), leave entitlements (24-30 days annual), statutory benefits, public holidays, and how to resign or access support.

👋 Welcome to Toku. We are your point of contact for employment support in Finland. Continue using Toku to submit information, manage requests and access your documents. Your day-to-day work, goals and role direction continue to come from the organization you support.

ℹ️ Country-specific processes: Kenya, Finland, Vietnam, Serbia and Argentina. These guides provide general information. Additional or different steps may apply, and Toku will work with you directly to confirm the requirements for your situation. Continue submitting information and requests through Toku. Toku cannot offer or arrange Toku-sponsored benefits in these countries. Your applicable statutory entitlements and individual employment terms remain subject to local requirements and your signed agreement.

Your employment at a glance

Item What it means for you
Currency Euro (EUR)
Payroll cycle Monthly. Toku runs one payroll per month in Finland.
Standard working week 40 hours (37.5 under many collective agreements)
Probation period Up to 6 months, set in the employment agreement
Annual leave Up to 30 days (24 days in the first year)

📄 Your signed employment agreement governs your individual terms, including pay, working hours, probation, notice, and any custom arrangements. Mandatory local law also applies. If this guide and your agreement appear different, contact Toku before relying on the summary.

Pay schedule and payroll changes

Payroll is monthly. Toku will confirm your applicable pay date and deadline for payroll changes directly. Keep your information and requests up to date in Toku and contact payroll@toku.com if you need to confirm a date.

You will receive a payslip for each payroll cycle showing your gross pay, required deductions, and net pay. Keep your bank, tax, and personal information current in Toku, and notify us promptly if anything changes.

Your employment terms and probation

  • Toku coordinates the agreement process and will confirm how to complete any required signatures. Your signed agreement sets out your employer details and individual terms.
  • Indefinite-term contracts are the default. Fixed-term contracts need a justified reason (such as a project or substitute arrangement); repeated fixed terms without justification convert to indefinite-term.
  • Probation can be agreed for up to 6 months and is set in the employment agreement. During probation, either party may end the contract without notice, provided the grounds are not discriminatory or improper.

Working hours and overtime

Your normal working hours are stated in your signed employment agreement and may vary by role, schedule, or applicable collective agreement. Toku does not expect routine overtime. Do not work overtime or additional hours unless your manager has approved them in advance. Any overtime or additional-hours treatment follows your signed agreement and mandatory local law.

Statutory benefits

Employers must also provide occupational healthcare covering at minimum preventive care, and most extend it to general practitioner and specialist visits.

Additional Toku benefits

Toku cannot offer or arrange Toku-sponsored benefits in Finland. We will work with you directly on any applicable local arrangements and provide the instructions relevant to you. Do not use Toku's standard benefit enrollment forms.

Stablecoin payroll and token grants

Contact Toku before relying on any token or stablecoin option. Availability for your employment arrangement must be confirmed individually; do not assume the standard Toku payroll options apply. Use Toku: Contact our Team for Support! for support.

Annual tax documents

Your pre-completed tax return is issued by the Finnish Tax Administration (Vero) in MyTax, currently by the end of March following the tax year. Payroll information flows from the Incomes Register into that return. This is a government-issued record, so access it in MyTax rather than wait for an annual tax form in Toku Documents. Check your individual return for the deadline to review or correct it. If you need an employer-issued income statement, contact payroll@toku.com; any statement Toku issues will be uploaded to Documents. See Vero's current tax-return guidance.

Leaving Toku: resigning

Giving notice

Send a formal resignation letter to Toku, by uploading it to your Toku Documents or emailing customer-success@toku.com. Documents and final payroll

Toku will confirm your offboarding documents, signing method and final-pay steps directly. Follow the instructions provided for your case; copies of completed employment documents will be stored in Documents in Toku.

Country documents: You are entitled to a written certificate of employment on request, issued without undue delay. The standard certificate confirms employment dates and duties. A reason for leaving or assessment of your skills and conduct is included only if you expressly request it; a recommendation is not sent automatically. See Finnish occupational safety and health guidance.

Benefits when you leave

Toku cannot arrange Toku-sponsored benefits in Finland. If any local coverage applies to your employment, we will help clarify the relevant contact, coverage end date and required actions. Do not assume that coverage ends on your final working day or continues automatically.

Your Toku account

You will retain access to your Toku account and employment documents after leaving. For help updating your email, resetting your password, or changing 2FA, email customer-success@toku.com.

Important

This guide is a general summary and does not replace your signed employment agreement, Toku policies, benefit plan documents, or applicable law. Your exact entitlements may vary based on your work location, tenure, role, collective agreement, or individual terms. Where there is a conflict, the applicable law and binding employment documents control.
